how this works
from march 1 - may 3, you & your building will earn points each week for your composting activity!
building standings are updated here, with points allocated based on the “mulch missions” below. meanwhile, individual standings are displayed live in your demi app.
the winning building will receive a demi-sponsored party 🎉 while the top composter will win 2 tickets to a cubs v. white sox game! 5 runner-ups will also receive demi sweatshirts.

POINTS TRACKING
individual standings are based on number of bins composted, with the leaderboard of top 10 composters displayed on the homepage of your demi app!
in the event of a tie, we will use total weight composted as the tiebreaking metric.
meanwhile, building standings are updated every week based on points earned in the following categories, or “mulch missions”:
mulch mission 1: lbs of CO2e diverted from food waste composted
mulch mission 2: number of bins composted
mulch mission 3: number of new sign-ups
weekly bonus: number of demi in-app feedback forms submitted
to account for variations in building size, we normalize each mission across the total number of units per building.
buildings can earn 10, 20, or 30 points per mission each week, plus an additional 10 points for the weekly bonus.
